Holiday Cheer: Events in Tampa Bay
What better way to get into the spirit of the season than with some fun holiday events! Luckily for us, we live in an area that is not short on holiday cheer with a number of events happening right here in our own backyard. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out on the town or a fun activity for some family bonding, Tampa Bay has it all to kick off the festivities!
We have compiled a list of our favorite events to put a holiday spring in everyone’s step:
Christmas in the Wild
- ZooTampa at Lowry Park is celebrating the most wonderful time of the year with their Christmas in the Wild festivities. This is an amazing event for the family to enjoy. Between the sights of thousands of twinkling lights and the many holiday treats available to guests, you can’t help but feel the holiday spirit flowing around you! Tampa Theatre
- Tampa Theatre is more than just a historic beauty placed in the center of downtown Tampa — it is also a cinematic experience! Tampa Theatre plays holiday favorites during the weeks leading up to Christmas. Whether your wanting a fun activity for date night or to take the whole family for a night of classic holiday movie nostalgia, Tampa Theatre is the place for it! Downtown Tampa Holiday Boat Parade of Lights
- This holiday event is the perfect way to kick off the holidays. This free holiday parade along the Downtown Tampa Riverwalk will be going from Armature Works all the way down to the recently opened Sparkman Wharf. So, gather up the family and head down there to grab your spot along the Riverwalk on December 22 and experience a show of boats covered with an array of beautiful Christmas lights!
Winter Village Express
- All aboard the TECO Line Streetcar! Jump on board the Streetcar for a whimsical Christmas ride and experience a decorated streetcar filled with treats and holiday music that everyone can enjoy. This ride through Tampa will put you right into the holiday spirit, so get on board and enjoy your cookies and milk on this fun Christmas-themed ride!
