Trails and Parks
Fresh air and winding paths. Native trees and local songbirds. Finally, you’ve found a home that was made for adventure. In Bexley, you can catch up with friends and family on 1,200 acres of preserved Pasco County wilderness or enjoy some richly deserved “me” time. Designed by outdoor-living pioneer Avid Trails™, our 10+ mile, multi-modal trail system plays to your lifestyle and your whims—whether you want to take a relaxed pace along the creek, bike at high intensity, is planned to link up with the spectacular 42-mile Suncoast Trail, or take a short family jaunt to the park.
Speaking of green space, Bexley’s three distinctive parks include a dog park, soccer field, bicycle pump park, and a colorful array of natural play areas for all ages. And yes, that will include state-of-the-art outdoor workout stations!
Encouraged by the active Florida lifestyle, a 10+ mile walkway system is planned for the community to include interior connections around the parks and to nearby retail located along State Road 54. Additional trails found throughout the community offer different experiences along their pathways. Some are primitive and weave between palmetto forests and uplands, while others provide panoramic views of large open meadows and preserved wetland and lakes.
Get energized and achieve your fitness goals right here in your community. Across Bexley’s trail system, you’ll find innovation places to work out designed by Avid Trails™, a national leader in outdoor fitness. Designed to improve your functional fitness, the Avid Stations™ in Bexley will help strengthen your arms and core and get your adrenaline pumping at stations with pull-up bars, box jumps, agility ladders, hurdles, training bands, and more.
The four parks of Bexley are more than just open spaces—they’re places for wheelies, climbing dates, dog running, lake gazing and game playing. Neighborhood soccer matches meet up at Mud, Sweat, and Gears Park, where the leafy natural landscape also hosts play areas (including a custom wonderland by the legendary Asheville Playgrounds) and a bicycle pump track for thrills on two wheels.
You’ll find another Asheville Playground at Game On Park, where you can also play foosball and ping pong on the outdoor game courts. Take your four-legged family members to the Bark Yard dedicated to small and large breeds. Across all our parks, there are natural places to play, and in the case of our Yellow Brick Park, Adirondack chairs offer a place to kick back and take in the lakeside view. Find trails here and at Gimme 10 Park—ideal for running, biking, and relaxing nature walks.
