Newland Communities’ Building Partners Earn 13 Awards in 2017 Tampa Bay Parade of Homes

Published May 2017

Builders in Newland Communities’ four Tampa Bay master-planned communities, Bexley, FishHawk Ranch, Waterset and MiraBay, were recognized at the 2017 Parade of Homes, presented by the Tampa Bay Builders Association. The recently opened Bexley community in Pasco County received the most awards of any community in the Parade, including a coveted Best in Class award as well as several Grand Awards. Models at this year’s Parade of Homes were judged on select criteria including architectural detail, floor plan, master suite, kitchen and overall curb appeal.

Bexley, Waterset, FishHawk Ranch and MiraBay are owned in a joint venture partnership between NORTH AMERICA SEKISUI HOUSE, LLC (NASH), the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of SEKISUI HOUSE, LTD., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and Newland Real Estate Group, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of the community. The communities are four of more than 30 communities the NASH-Newland partnership owns together in 11 states across the United States.

In all, five Bexley model homes earned Grand Awards. David Weekly Homes’ Tangelo model earned the Best in Class award in the Kitchen category, as well as an overall Grand Award. The model, which is part of the builder’s Village series, is a single-story home with three bedrooms, 2.5 baths with the option of an additional bonus room, half bath and pool.

The four additional models in the Bexley community that were recognized with Grand Awards include ICI Homes’ Brooke model, a spacious two-story, five bedroom, 3.5 bath home with an open floor plan and soaring ceilings in the great room; Homes by WestBay’s Bayshore II model offering five bedrooms, a secluded owner’s retreat and guest suite; CalAtlantic Homes’ Sandpiper II, a two-story, single-family model featuring three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a den and loft; and Lennar’s North Carolina model, a single story home with four bedrooms, three baths and an open concept kitchen overlooking the dining and family areas.

CalAtlantic also received a Merit Award for its Jefferson II model at Bexley. This two-story model offers volume ceilings, four bedrooms, 3.5 baths and an attached rear-load two-car garage.

FishHawk Ranch, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, showed why it continues one of the top-selling communities in Tampa Bay year after year. Builders within the community earned three Parade of Homes Grand Awards. Homes by WestBay’s Gasparilla model was recognized for its innovative two-story design with four bedroom, 3.5 baths and a double staircase leading to the secondary bedrooms; Pulte Homes’ Summerfield two-story model offers four bedrooms and 3.5 baths; and David Weekley Homes’ Lorenzo Model at Encore at FishHawk Ranch, was recognized as a low-maintenance single-story floor plan offering three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a three car garage. Encore at FishHawk Ranch is an age-qualified community for residents aged 55 and older,

Also at FishHawk Ranch, Neal Communities’ Crystal Sand villa model received a Merit Award for its single story, two bedrooms and two baths floor lanai.

Newland Communities’ Apollo Beach developments were also recognized with Grand Awards. Neal Signature Homes’ Siesta Key 2 model at MiraBay earned top honors for its Southern-inspired three bedroom, 2.5 bath home. At Waterset, Grand Awards went to Homes by WestBay’s Hyde Park model with its spacious kitchen, four bedrooms and a covered lanai; and the Eco Series 2500, by Eco-Friendly Homes, Tampa Bay’s first net zero model home which offers four bedrooms and high performance elements not commonly found in homes throughout Florida including rooftop solar panels and smart home automation.

“We’re thrilled that so many of our builder partners have been recognized for their outstanding home designs,” said Pam Parisi, Vice President of Marketing for Newland Communities. “Our distinctive communities continue to meet the needs of today’s discerning homebuyers, by offering a wide variety of home styles and amenities for all ages and lifestyles.”
